September often feels like a fresh start, a chance to reset and refocus after more laid-back summertime. While many of us associate this feeling with the beginning of a new year, September offers a unique opportunity to head start your January planning and resolutions.

It may seem easier said than done. Implementing changes in your life is often accompanied by stress and anxiety. However, adding a bit of mindfulness to your planning can make a big difference in the long run.


The Power of Mindful Planning


Mindful planning is about setting intentions and goals while being present and aware of your feelings and thoughts. It's a way to balance your professional and personal life, reducing stress and increasing satisfaction. For those who are parents, mindful planning can provide a sense of control and clarity amidst the chaos of daily life.


Connecting Mindfulness and Organization


Mindfulness and organization go hand in hand. When you're mindful, you're more aware of your priorities and less likely to get overwhelmed. Organization, in turn, can create a sense of calm and reduce stress. By combining these two practices, you can create a more balanced and fulfilling life.


Seven Ways to Plan Mindfully


  1. Be Realistic: Setting unrealistic goals can lead to disappointment and stress. Instead, focus on creating achievable targets that align with your values and priorities. When setting goals, consider your current circumstances, available resources, and time constraints.
